Water play activities are some of the most fun during summer!  Playing in the sprinklers and throwing water balloons are lots of fun, but there are so many other exciting things you can play with water.  Many of these you can even save for cooler weather and do indoors!

Simulate a water fountain indoors and toss change in!  We also show you how to make it into a game.

With this project, run an experiment to explore what happens when you place items in salt water rather than fresh water.  Examine ocean water vs. fresh water.

You can paint inside with chalk and water mixed together.  Two fun summer activities mixed into one!

Here’s a trick for colored bath water to surprise your little ones.

Make a hydrofoil boat to play in the water with a simple piece of aluminum foil.  Let them fold and construct so that water won’t leak in.

Keep kids cool and having fun with a colored ice bin!  It’s a wonderful summer activity for the backyard on a hot, summer day!

On a warm summer day, an easy way to play is to simply give your kids a cup of water and a paint brush and let them paint designs on the sidewalk!

Use water, dye, oil and shaving cream to learn about emulsion, flotation, and absorption and create some really pretty designs!

Add water to a spice like turmeric or cinnamon and make quick and easy paints!
